The
United Arab Emirates lies in an arid tropical
zone dominated by hot desert weather. The
climate is characterized by high levels of
temperature and scant rainfall. The climate
in all parts of the UAE in general is dry
with two distinct seasons: summer and winter.
The summer months, between April and November
are very hot, while winter is short, between
December arid March, during which the temperature
is moderate, accompanied by irregular rainfall.
The average temperature during July and August
is 35C, while the rainfall during these two
months. is only 2mm. During January the temperature
drops to 18oC, while the average rainfall
during February, is occasionally as high as
36mm.
Relative humidity
is very high along the Eastern coastal zones
adjacent to the Arabian Gulf arid becomes
lawn in the South-Eastern inland regions and
in the Eastern mountainous ranges. In wintertime,
the maximum relative humidity along the Arabian
Gulf coasts reaches as high as 90%, while
the lowest average humidity is 20%. in the
South-Eastern areas and Eastern mountainous
regions.
